Ds has a headache, temp of 39 and shivery, won't take paracetamol

he has always been scared of medicine, so I have lied blatantly and told him his milk tastes funny because he is ill
He still isn't drinking it
He is just 5 and we have recently been at the hospital for a visit (not for him) but am scared he has picked up something.

He's had the headache since about an hour ago, says he feels cold, then hot, his tummy is shivery, he's had a slight cough for a few days but no sore throat or anything.

I hate it when they are ill and am quite worried as he never has headaches

Please someone tell me to stop panicking. Moving house atm and nobody is getting much sleep, I doubt much will be had tonight..

What do I look out for and panic about, please? He said he feels 'stiff' but not sure which bit, will try neck test in a minute...

My friend's little girl has a similar thing and hasn't been fully well since Thursday. I wanted to check on how you were doing, and also if you had a dx so I could pass it on, as it sounds similar.

Sorry to hear that, no we didn't see the Dr in the end as he perked up so much.
I think maybe just a chill, as he got quite wet the other day. I'll let you know if anything transpires.
