Uveitis

Woke up yesterday with a red and painful eye, got it seen to and it turns out I have a flare up of uveitis. I have had it once about 10 year ago. I have the drops that dilate your pupil and the steroid drops. The dilating drops are making the vision in my right eye cloudy and blurry and so my vision in general is distorted (like putting someone else’s glasses on) and as a result I’m feeling dizzy/sickly.

Has anyone has this before who can tell me if this is normal? I don’t remember feeling like this last time. Been told to take the dilating drops for a week

So yes, the pupil dilating drops paralyse the focusing lens in the eye, so they can make your vision blurry. But uveitis itself makes your vision blurred too.

The dilating drops stop the iris sticking to the lens, so they're quite important to prevent complications.

Thank you. Just couldn’t remember feeling dizzy or sickly last time, it was a long time ago I suppose, it’s a right pain, typing with one eye shut 🙈 going to lay off the phone
