Key hole (or maybe open cut) surgery in bra area.... how long after can you wear a bra?

I am waiting for surgery which is going to be attempted to be keyhole, but with a high chance of turning to open surgery.

At least a couple of "holes" will be on my bra band area, (both front and back) and if it becomes open surgery that will have some of the cut on the area where my bra would be too. (and the holes will also already be there)

Has anyone had similar, and can say how long after you could comfortably wear a bra?

Are any other styles of bra (maybe a soft crop top) better? I'm an E cup so definitely need a bra, but appreciate I won't be able to wear one for a while.

I had this last year. It was very difficult because the surgery resulted, temporarily, in a lot of nerve pain under my breasts which wearing a bra refuced but i couldn’t tolerate wearing a bra for about six weeks. I ended up preferring a front closing bra for a while as well and borrowed one from my DD as I didn’t own one.

I've had keyhole twice and on both occasions the top cut was below my bra

If you do want a crop top, look at Boody who do a good and supportive one for bigger cup sizes. Best of luck with your surgery and recovery.

Absolutely depends on a lit of factors. I thik i had four or five incisions: four for the mechanical surgical tools and one where they fed the camera in. One of the worst incisions was sort of below the bra line but rolls of fat (tmi) and an infection made it pucker and super tender.
