I’m pretty sure it’s one from the list on the photo; it smells like I’ve eaten asparagus but I haven’t!

It’s one of those plant/seed mixes that you sprinkle on your porridge; M and S 35 gut booster. Does anything in it commonly make your wee smell?!

NB photo forthcoming apparently

perhaps it is the combination

MsPug · 30/01/2026 12:14

Blimey that's a lot you're never going to find out lol

OrsolaRosso · 30/01/2026 12:16

It could be the coriander.

TheAutumnCrow · 30/01/2026 12:21

Dried mushrooms, I’d guess. But there’s such a tiny amount in the mix - so I’m probably wrong. But dried mushroom powder does stink.

Manzana · 30/01/2026 12:25

it's probably the lion's mane mushrooms, they contain sulphur compounds.

BinseyPoplars · 30/01/2026 13:04

Thank you all - yes it would make sense if it was the lions mane mushroom, as I think that is the only one I haven’t had before (although I’m having them all more regularly now so wasn’t sure if it was something else with a cumulative effect)

I think it’s also the mushroom that gives it quite a savoury taste (like using porcini in a risotto?); it’s odd but not unpleasant alongside the goji berries etc

Anyway it seems to be doing me good in terms of my gut health so I’ll persist and hope maybe the wee thing fades away (I love asparagus so it hasn’t stopped me eating that!)
