Anyone a member of a Bannatynes gym?

Ive never joined a gym and I see they are quite pricey compared to another local gym, Pure Gym

But they have an add on where you can have physio, MH and GP access, does anyone do this? This would result in a cost of about £73 per month which is a bit hefty

Im also not sure if Im likely to fit in, Im not really an 'exerciser' and might be out of place.

Pure gym is 25 quid a month and no pool

I'm a Bannatynes member but get it as a work benefit so don't get the add ons, so I can't help there.
I would say though that it's by a mile the most relaxed gym I've been to - I left for a while when I didn't get it through work but didn't like the cheaper options anywhere near as much. It's a hugely mixed age group and mixed fitness levels - from the super fit gym goers to the retirees doing a steady walk on a treadmill followed by the steam room.
They'll give you a fairly comprehensive tour if you give them a call and when you join you can book a complimentary initial coaching session too.

Thanks for that

Did you know if there was opportunity to make social networks through the gym or do people not really do that?

I'm not sure tbh I'm normally rushing in in my lunch break! There are always groups socialising in the coffee shop and everyone is very chatty at my branch but I'm not sure if the gym do anything to facilitate that.

Yes I am. Didn't buy the add ons because I can get a physio referral through work if needed and my GP always had on the day appointments so I didn't feel I needed it. I really like it - tends to be middle aged and older people, hardly any teens, and no roided up blokes throwing weights about the place.

I was last year. I had the add ons too. I had to leave because of health issues. I didn’t really use the add ons but over the classes and pool. If I were closer I’d have been there every day
