Kidney fog

We have an appointment with a Doctor regarding the above medical condition which my wife suffers from. She has stage 5 chronic kidney disease. We are asking for any assistance possible.

She has also appointments booked with our kidney consultant in the coming weeks and she was at the early stages for preparing for dialysis last year but it has been postponed. We are also in touch with the advanced care kidney nurses. We have an appointment with the local Dr as we know that the first thing the consultant will ask is your Dr aware of the situation.

Has anyone been in a similar position and what questions are likely to be asked by the Doctor ?

Which doctor are you talking about in both contexts?

Are you seeing a private doctor, who will ask 'does your GP know about your situation'?

And by situation what do you mean, the fact you are seeing another doctor or your wife's illness?

It would seem strange to me that a doctor would think the GP wouldnt know about your wife's condition?

Unless Ive misunderstood?

I’m unsure whether “kidney fog” is a typo? Do you mean brain fog or mental confusion?

You can get mental confusion with kidney disease, is this what you mean OP?

To clarify the situation I have not made a typo, it is Kidney fog and using google on this issue the symptoms are very similar.
Our normal Dr is on annual leave and the Dr we are seeing we have never met before but has 20yrs experience. We are an amber warning and have to be seen quickly.
So my question is please, has anyone got a similar experience ?
