Hernia support underwear

Hi
i would really appreciate any advice regarding inguinal hernia support underwear for women. I would prefer the knicker style as opposed to a hernia belt as these seem to be more discrete and I wear leggings for work every day. There seems to be a lot to choose from and are quite pricey and non returnable. Also, I am a petite woman and usually wear XS/S but seem to be measuring as medium for these type of knickers so If anyone has any recommendations with brands and sizing I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance

No specific recommendations for a truss sorry. Most people do not find them particularly helpful. Have you got surgery planned? Guidelines are that women should be referred and seen and operated on urgently.

Get it operated on asap. Mine ended up very large and strangulated last year. What could have been a day case, ended up 4 hours of emergency surgery for a bowel resection for a gangrenous bowel and a week in hospital being pumped full of nasty antibiotics.

Push them for it to be repaired.

Are you waiting for an op? I had one a couple of years ago. My GP said it’s best to get it done or there’s the strangulation risk.
It’s a day case (I actually had it done under private insurance) and a week recovery.
I didn’t wear a support but it was about 6 months from noticing it to the op.

@Chiaseedling ive got an inguinal hernia, looking to have it operated on but mine is fat not bowel so they said can watch and wait and decide, how was your recovery? I have two young kids that still require soo much lifting and I keep putting it off!

@Jadeyyy- recovery was about a week off work (I wfh mainly) so not too bad. You’ll def need someone to help w the kids. I could barely leave the sofa for first two days!
