Hi all- had an urgent referral ECG today after experiencing some skipped beats throughout last week. Went home about half 3 and just got a call from my doctors arranging a telephone appointment tomorrow morning. Health anxiety has shot through the roof because i wasn't expecting to hear from them this quick and now i'm worried it's something serious if they want to speak to me so soon- anyone have any advice to stop me spiralling?!

If it was serious they would have spoken to you today. Done worry. They maybe want further tests or another ecg.

When the ECG I had done at the doctor's was serious a GP called at the house at 7pm to tell me to go straight to the hospital so try not to worry too much.

I had this with a high d diner result from blood tests. The call started with 'how near to a hospital are you?'.
OP if they want to speak to you tomorrow then it does sound like there is potentially something that needs further investigation or treatment, but if it was something life threatening then you'd be seeing someone right now. It doesn't remotely help to say try not to worry, but try not to worry while you have no idea what's actually going on.
