Blood tests for asthma

Hello!

I'm having one of those months at the moment...

My partner has suspected asthma. Been to the hospital for a chest X ray and had a blood test for allergies. The doctor now wants to do another blood test. Should I be worried - is there something else they could be testing for? Or is this standard asthma testing? Just feels like a lot when in the past they would just prescribe an inhaler.

I think this can be the case particularly when they suspect allergies to cause asthma. Maybe they want more info on what allergies could be causing it?

It could also be that the usual way of diagnosing asthma isn’t clear.

Apols there was a photo with that, didn't work. But you check this with blood tests.

When my consultant wasn't sure whether I had asthma, I had a blood test for anemia

Possibly to check eosinophils.
This and feno (ten second breathing test) is the easiest way.
