Hip pain

I am 36 and for about 1 year I have had hip pain ( mostly in one hip , but the other is sore too ). I do have other random aches and pains . But one of my hips has been really bad . I had a blood test and was negative for rheumatoid arthritis / no inflammation.
I am now wondering if I could have osteoarthritis. I don’t get much stiffness just a low level ache .

I have had years of terrible office chairs and thought this could be it .
Has anyone had bad hip pain at my age ? What should I tell the doctor , I feel they fobbed me off when I said I had sore joints before ( never saw a doc ) , just gave me
a blood test .
Thanks

Where in your hip is it? I get dreadful hip flexor pain, in the front, where my leg meets my pelvis. Also having tests for it! I’m 41.

The overwhelming most helpful things you can do are training to strengthen your hip muscles and tendons and walk. You need to walk 3-4 miles at more than a dawdle and less than a yomp, about 3 times a week. Even if it hurts. The most effective way to reduce the pain is to walk through it. This has all been subject to extensive research, I have a friend who was in some of the research and I have both RA and OA myself.

Many, many hip replacements (and knee replacements) could be avoided if people did this.

Are you hypermobile? This kind of early hip pain is quite common for puerile who are hypermobile. Strength training is your friend.
