Hi my daughter has had lower jaw surgery this Thursday just done, atm she cant talk or eat only drink though a straw and puree food. Now she has a wafer in and bands on her braces. She is supposed to have the wafer out next week, has anyone's child been in the same situation, if so has anyone got any recommendations of puree food for me to make her
Thanks for any replies

I had lower jaw surgery and pureed pineapple ( tinned and chilled) was what I craved it felt cleansing aswell. The short bursts of sleep between the pain relief was frustrating but the healing journey does go quickly

Innocent Smoothies is what I had…20 years ago!

When DS was struggling I made smoothies with yogurt, banana, avocado, full fat milk and chocolate powder. V filling, but also delicious. Also good with raspberries instead of chocolate

Thanks for the replys, my daughter is 18, before surgery never drank anything apart from milk or water and has a limited diet. Even as a child she never took to liquid paracetamol or ibruphen so its definitely abit hard atm. She is due to have the wafer out on Thursday, how long roughly should she have to keep the bands on? Thanks
