So im mid 30s regular periods . Under neurology for headache disorders and more recently after back and forth the docs with flu like aches etc was told potential fibro .
Also have mild endometriosis .
For years i have had spells of clusters of night sweats lasting weeks than disapearing , last spell that was significant was in 24 and i had ct scan of abdo pelvis but nothing found - told likely benign .
Fast forward to christmas after a period of grief night sweats became nightly and rather severe . Also suddenly had a daily temp of 37.2 when i normally run cold and chills / ibs type stomach and worsening of headaches ended up in a and e all bloods normal and doscharged to see gp.
Seen gp , she found 2cm lymph node in neck and referred to ent . I am terrified - urgent bloods taken and again all completley withib range , no weight loss etc . Gp said she foesnt think i have lymphoma but what else could this be ?
For context im also under rheumatlogoy for high ana but looking to be discharged as nothing screamd out after two years watch and wait and lymph node is on side of completley impacted wisdom tooth which i am awaitng refertal to be removed as it causes me periods of pain and mouth ulcers on that side ,

Any ideas or insight be most welcome !
So scared …

Grief seriously affects your immune system - I lost my OH of 15 years suddenly and in the year following I ended up needing antibiotics 7 times. The year after that I used none.

If you've had a sudden bereavement this may just be the physical manifestation of that.

Is your thyroid overactive?? That can make your heart race/ you lose weight. Might be worth asking for the GP to check the levels with your next blood test?----

brightonchicka · 17/01/2026 13:47

@DoAWheelie i have considered this . I have been through period of great loss

I’ve had an enlarged lymph node since 2019/2020. Most days it’s the size of a grape and noticeable in the mirror (to me anyway). I still panic sometimes when i catch it in my reflection. It’s maybe worth mentioning that I did develop an auto immune condition a few years ago after a period of stress, this was about 3 or 4 years before I noticed the lymph node

brightonchicka · 17/01/2026 16:06

@Lauren0902 thats interesting do you have night sweats and was lumph node measured or biopsied ?

Hi,

Yes I have a lymphnode that's been up in my neck for 5 years and have nightsweats, headaches etc. Been scanned and it's normal.
Been through some major life change, stress has ruined my body, I'm totally grey haired and have flair ups of random pain etc.

I hope you will be fine as you are sounding panicked. (Hand hold)

brightonchicka · 18/01/2026 00:14

@Cantbefucked Thanks for reply . I am panicking . How often do you get the night sweats and have you been given any type of diagnosis ?

Cantbefucked · 18/01/2026 00:40

@brightonchicka

Hi again, no I havent been diagnosed with anything as its all "normal". As good as that is, it's also frustrating!
The nightsweats arnt consistent but when I have them, they wake me up and I have to throw everything off immediately! Also meant to say I have a swollen lymphnode in my groin, again - they arnt concerned but it actually hurts!

I don't think my post will be helpful but I just wanted to show support. I don't know what your case will be but don't panic for now xx

brightonchicka · 18/01/2026 00:42

@Cantbefucked thanks so much , appreciate it , will keep post updated x

Night sweats with lymphoma are usually what would be described as “drenching night sweats”. It doesn’t sound as if you are having these. It also sounds as if they have been ongoing for quite some time so not something that has just started along with your enlarged lymph node and your bloods are fine. You have a lot of other things going on that could account for all of this. Obviously, I can’t say you do or don’t have anything but I think it’s more likely to be something simple.

User0549533 · 18/01/2026 21:42

Have you been checked for lupus? Especially as you already have high ANAs. Unexplained fever is a very common symptom, along with immune syste and lymph node weirdness.

brightonchicka · 18/01/2026 21:49

@Threeboystwocatsandadog thanks for this … In terms of sweats , I wake and feel wet all over and slippy but can wipe myself and dry off . Hair and face always fine and bedding can be damp but not drenched as such . Its definitley noticeable sweating and its every night at minute . Would love to know whats causing it .
