So I’m 26 and my very active mum who looks the picture of health has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. In the midst of what feels like my world is crashing down on me, has anyone got any positive stories please of someone they know with the same diagnosis?

Bless you, you are so young, I didn't want to read and run. I have a good friend of 40 years, her DH has had it for many years..I understand from them,it can be treated although not "cured". He had chemotherapy in tablet for and has regular blood tests, every 3 months to make sure everything is on track. Of course with all types of cancers, new treatments and are coming out all the time. Oddly enough my oldest DD,best friends DM had just been diagnosed, she said at the moment they are observing her. I wish you 💕

firstly sending so much love, I second the above, my FIL has had it for many years, it’s treated not cured. He just sometimes gets a bit more sick with bugs but other than that you would have no idea he does everything else anyone his age would do. Golf, fishing etc. wishing you and your mum all the best!
