If it is shingles the quicker you get antivirals the better. Call 111 and they can get you an OOH appointment. Shingles round your eye is dangerous.

I dont know what it is to be honest. I had my hair dyed at my usual salon and when I first had it dyed i had the patch test all ok. Been using dye from salon for a few years. No issue until three days ago I ended up with itchy head for longer than usual abd now the swollen eye abd and stinging head. They do say even if you've never reacted to hair dye before, you can suddenly react. Painkillers help with the stinging but I need to find out what this is

I dont like NHS 111. They are rubbish. I've used them before and I felt worse because they take hours for a doctor to call and quite frankly the time you wait for a call back you would be better going to A and E

I think if the optomertrist i saw who thought i may have shingles thought i was in any danger then she would have said go to a and e

Dont ask for advice then dismiss it. Shingles around eyes is dangerous. All you have to do is a simple google to see that. But you do you.

Pharmacists can treat shingles. My son had his treatment within half an hour of rash appearing.

I said it could be a reaction to hair dye. I have not got a proper shingles rash. My forehead is just red . Im going to the doctor ibis 2 hours. Got an appointment

Been to the doctor. Was told it's not shingles because the rash on my forehead is not a shingles rash, but ive been told to go back in the morning to see a Gp to see if it has turned into shingles by the morning
