anyone have any experience of wait for tonsillectomy/ adenoidectomy on NHS in Glasgow? My son is about to turn 4 and has had problems with mouth breathing, snoring, constant colds/coughs/croup, very poor sleep since he was a baby. We finally saw ENT in August 25 after badgering the GP for a year and ENT have said he definitely needs the operation. They said he needs a sleep study first which we are still waiting for and I’m full expecting to wait another 2 years after this for the operation, unless he does have sleep apnoea.
does anyone have any experience of being on the NHS waiting list?
im starting to worry about his overall health/ development/ teeth etc and considering alternative therapies in the meantime (homeopathy/ myofunctional therapy) and would be curious if anyone has had any success with these?
