Teeth whitening treatments without the pain from sensitivity?

A couple of years ago I had a ‘hitting 40’ glow up and one of the best improvements I’ve seen is from whitening my teeth. But oh the pain!! I dread it each time, it hurts so much I struggle to tolerate it. I use whitening trays and gel from the dentist, use the sensodyne rapid relief toothpaste and take paracetamol but still struggle. I want to give up every time but I like how it looks too much.

Any suggestions would be appreciated from other fellow sensitive toothed whiteners! 😫

I struggle with this too. What you need is hydroxyapatite toothpaste for a month before which will desensitize your teeth generally.

My hygienist recommends using sensodyne in the trays for half an hour and then switching to the whitening gel and putting it in just for the evening. Overnight was too much.

My hygienist now offers powder therapy. Natural whitening without the sensitivity.
