Best pillow for side sleeper with a pinched nerve

I have been in absolute agony for the last five days with a pinched nerve in my neck (it’s causing pain in my left shoulder and left forearm and complete numbness in half my hand). I saw a chiropractor yesterday evening which has helped a bit and a going back again on Thursday. I am taking ibuprofen and cocodamol and rubbing voltarol on the area (bit if anyone rise has any other suggestions if anything else that helps relieve the pain please do let me know).

I don't want this to happen again and I want it to go as soon as possible so one thing I would like to do is get a new better pillow (I am currently using a feather pillow that is probably 12+ years old and has gone a bit flat). Does anyone have any suggestions of a pillow that has helped with neck pain/issues for a side sleeper?

I bought an ergonomic neck memory foam pillow last spring. It has helped my pain hugely. I injured my neck in a car accident many many years ago and I also have arthritis more or less everywhere. I can only sleep on my side and this pillow has made a huge difference. It has a bit on each side to rest your arm. Take a tip though anyone thinking of getting one. Buy a spare pillow case too because normal pillow cases do not fit it.

A side sleeper pillow is box shaped, with rectangle sides.
Game changer! Although only works if it's in a proper matching case, if you stuff it into a regular pillowcase it becomes the shape of a regular pillow...

Groove pillow, its great.
Tried lots before this.
Nothing was as good.

I have tried so many specialist pillows and honestly the most helpful thing has been ordinary pillow of choice plus a bath towel rolled into a cylinder and put under my neck with head just resting on the edge of the pillow.

I’ve done similar to this the past couple of weeks with a flimsy pillow at the bottom of my usual pillow and my longstanding neck and shoulder pain has felt better over the last few days
