So DS2 came home before Xmas with scabies. Which havr gave to me.
Since then its been a one long round of washing, fighting the NHS, treatment, hoovering, blue latex gloves. Etc etc
Today is the day of our second oral treatment (7 days since the first) and after the itching restarting on (bizarrely) my fingers after declining dollowing the initial treatment, I found a new burrow this morning on my forearm. Which is not supposed to be possible.
Xmas has been a total nightmare. DS1 refused to come home. DD has had to come as she is back from uni. But have been keeping my distance. Cancelled all extended family (i was hosting for 14)
All of us treated at the same time. And i have not stopped laundry etc since.
Its an absolute bloody nightmare.

Have you tried Derbac M liquid? Apologies if you have, but it's the only thing that I know of that's worked completely.

Chchchanging · 30/12/2025 11:04

We have had pemethrin cream and oral ivermectin together.

Argh. Poor you.
Fleas are bad enough here.
My friend had scabies when travelling and staying at hostels.

Have the same problem here. We are now trying derbac m which I’m hoping will finally help us get rid of it. My dd got it from her bf who probably got it from friends who live in quite bad HMO’s. He’s been banned from staying in those places now so hopefully won’t bring it back again.
