Still ill with the flu?

I had the demon super flu for 2 weeks - sickness and diarrhoea included. Took antibiotics. I returned to work on 17th December as was feeling much better by then. Had a slightly iffy tummy for another week or so then was fully better. Then thus Sunday just gone (28th) I woke up with diarrhoea again but it eased off, same again yesterday. Then today I’ve been up since 4am on the loo and being sick! Has anyone else had this after the super flu? Is it a continuation or a new bug? I have a toddler and I’m just so low from it all!

If you had antibiotics you must have had a secondary infection on top of the flu. That might make it a longer recovery time. The antibiotics might also have upset your gut. Most probably, though, you have caught something new, unfortunately.

I suspect you were very run down and something else has “got you”.

Thanks both. I have felt so run down so probably something new. Hopefully it passes quickly. I don’t feel as terrible as I did with the flu thankfully.
