Can you use rescue remedy? drink camomile tea, breathing exercises, lengthen your exhalation will help. Try to remember that all the planes taking off that day, why should it be yours! Enjoy your holiday, I do sympathise btw.

hmmm, was hoping for something stronger! I've got rescue remedy but i'm a little you are right about the planes though, i try to run rational thoughts through my head, but then there's turbulence, arghhh! i'm a real wimp and just think how the hell can a plane this heavy stay up in the air? what if it forgets it can fly?

I'm exactly the same. Haven't flown since 2005. I've been given drugs by the flight attendants because I was so bad. Woke up just as we were about to land at heathrow.

poor you! do you find it gets worse rather than better?

maybe try hypnotherapy??

poshtottie · 11/06/2008 17:19

About twenty years ago I was quite bad and I did have a few years where I was perfectly fine but I was flying a lot so I got used to it. Its only over the last few years that I have become irrational again.

ellideb · 11/06/2008 17:40

Hated hypnotherapy when i tried it for something else, i think i'm one of these people who can't be hypnotised!

I'm finding the older i get, the more irrational i'm becoming. if only i could get drunk!

I have heard of people using homeopathy for flying.

When you went for hypnotherapy, was it to change something that you didn't really want to change???
