Is this really a stomach bug?

I’ve been in contact with a child over Christmas who has been vomiting. I stared very suddenly throwing up last night but only twice. Today I have been getting diarrhoea but not too severely but I’ve got a high temp a feel so ill. Is this normal? I honestly don’t ever remember feeling this ill with a stomach bug.

High temp is common with Norovirus. Its horrific but should last only a couple of days. Feel better soon 🌷

Sounds completely standard for a stomach bug

Yes that's completely normal for a stomach bug/virus

Sounds like a stomach bug - I usually get vomiting and diarrhoea lasting less than 24 hours, followed by a flu-like illness lasting a whole week! 🙄

I had something back in Nov half term. It started with a day of vomiting and severe nausea. Then extreme tiredness and depression for a week. I think it was Covid. My daughter had is too but without the vomiting. With tummy bugs you're usually more or less better as soon as the vomiting stops.
