Full of cold. Eating body weight in rich food. Exercise ground to a halt. Typical Christmas!
Would usually go low cal for a bit in January and restart C25 but now I've tipped over into my 50's I feel I need a new approach.
But nothing too complicated!
I've read tons of stuff on what to eat and the exercise to concentrate on. Fine with the exercise bit - already started gym classes with weights pre-Xmas and happy to keep on with this.
It's the diet I'm bamboozled with.
I know the foundations of a healthy diet but not 100% how I should be tweaking at this stage of life, I don't want to be counting macros or cutting out food groups.
What sustainable tweaks have worked for others?
I'd like to lose a bit of weight but that's not my main goal. Just to get on the right road be fit and healthy for as long as possible without becoming a bore or sucking the fun out of everything

weights are essential, so great you’ve started that. In your shoes I’d focus on getting enough protein. Also more veg/fruit/seeds/nuts and less processed foods. Water.

A few people I know did Zoe and found it really useful. It’s expensive though!

Maybe worth doing a bit of a health MOT? Have you had your cholesterol/blood pressure checked recently? I would start there and then cut out sweets/biscuits/crisps as much as you can and start adding in more whole food. It always sounds easier than it is!
