Ear damage - does this require medical attention?

Hello!

so long story short - I slipped and fell into a door frame, catching my ear on the way down. The impact knocked my earrings out and has majorly bruised my ear. I genuinely thought I'd ripped my ear off the pain was so bad. I haven't - however, it's turning black. I'm prone to bruising as a rule but in doing the dreaded and googling it - some suggest I should have it drained others say it'll go down . I've been putting an ice pack on it. Ultimately, I don't want to waste a medical professionals time at an UC center and equally, I don't want cauliflower ear 😂 thoughts please!

I have never heard of a hospital offering drainage of a bruise but I could be wrong. Anyway, I wouldn’t go to hospital for that just let it heal may take a week or so

I would get it looked at. Looks like it is in the tragus of the ear. This is the bit where rugby players get cauliflower ear . The blood gets caught between the skin and the cartilage cutting off the blood supply. It may need drained.
