Worth a GP appointment? Possible liver issue.

Almost 5 years ago DD18 (then 14) had a grade 4/5 liver laceration, springs fitted to stop the last of the bleeding, discharged after the post-op CT scan. Recently she has had stomach issues and abdominal pain for days after only one alcoholic drink (happened a few times). Is this worth following up or simply a case of stopping drinking? I’m inclined to get her into the GP but not sure if I’m being a hypochondriac given what happened before.

I think given her age, past medical history and your relationship (she ain't going to listen to you), it would be a good idea to arrange a non urgent appointment to discuss the issue.

As per PP make an appointment with GP. In the meantime stop drinking.

Stomach pain when drinking may be caused by acid reflux or gastritis so worth trying some Gaviscon while you’re waiting to see GP.

Thanks both. We have some gaviscon in the cupboard. I’ll call the surgery when they open next, and yes no alcohol in the meantime.
