Any ideas what this could be?

Going to nip her to the doctors tomorrow, but any ideas what this red spot could be next to my toddlers ear?

She’s had it around 6 weeks now and I’ve not really though much about it; just thought it was a bit of dermatitis or something but today my mum said I should really get it checked.

It’s gotten slightly bigger since she first presented with it, says it doesn’t hurt or itch but does sometimes look a bit dry?

Any ideas what this could be?

Ringworm maybe? I don't know if they're common there.

There's a cream for most rashes and dry bits though so should be easy to get rid of.

Hmm, maybe?

She has no other symptoms of that and obviously my mind has gone to the worst possible thing now that my mum has freaked out about it

Its just there. It doesn't really do much other than get bigger, occasionally itches.

It doesn't look like an angry thing though. I wouldn't think it was anything serious. Being so young the chemist will probably just send you to the GP anyway.

It looks like what my daughter's eczema patches looked like when she was a toddler. I wouldn't worry.

It looks like eczema but best get it checked

Had it checked by two doctors who both agree it doesn’t look sinister, but they can’t say exactly what type of benign mark it is.

they said to watch over the next few weeks and it will likely go, but if not they’ll send us to the dermatologist:)

we were given some steroid cream in the meantime too which seems to have reduced the redness slightly!
