Hello,
Any experience of this?
My dc has been in pain since Wednesday, woke up 3am with a lot of pain in his tummy at first we thought it was a tummy bug (without the sickness!). He went downhill quite rapidly on Wednesday afternoon - couldnt walk - stooped over, crying in agony so we took him to A&E. They suspected appendicitis, after being prodded and poked and monitored for 8 hours they diagnosed inflamed lymph nodes in his abdomen and we were sent home (he had a blood test and his white cells are normal). The pain comes and goes in waves- when it hits it hurts when he sneezes, laughs or coughs and it doubles him over. We went back to urgent care yesterday as he was grunting and it hurts when he breathes in, they did a eeg which came back normal & combined with this blood test they aren't concerned so we were sent on our way. Hes still in pain - paracetamol & ibuprofen don't touch the sides, he's told us its like a tight pair of trousers all the time and it goes even tighter when he breathes in. is there anything we can do to help? It's awful to see him like this.
