Any opticians? Flickering in eye

Got a weird flickering at the edge of my vision on left eye. No vision loss. Waiting for a call back from 111.

It's not migraine aura as I get those and this is completely different. Started yesterday. Any advice?

You mean like a twitchy eye? I get this when I'm really tried. Can be a one off or come and go over a week!

If in the UK, i would head to my local opticians for a chat

It's not a twitchy eye, it's more a sort of flash right in the edge of my vision. Found an optician that opens today so going to call them when they open.

You're doing the right thing seeing an opticians. An out of hours GP will do nothing useful for you other than check you're not having a stroke. They won't be able to identify any eye conditions.

Update: optician said it's just the jelly part of my eye detaching from the retina which is a normal part of aging so nothing to worry about! Just to go back if gets worse or I get shadow across vision etc.

Did they say it was a Posterior Vitreous Detachment? I have had a few - not for a while now - had some laser treatment for one. No longterm impacts.

I get that. Very disconcerting especially in the dark!
