Any doctors or pharmacists about? Anyone used Ketofall eye drops?

I am having an unusual and horrible reaction to some antibiotics. My eyes are really really dry. red, itchy and irritated. The GP has given me some Ketofall eye drops but they have a really high risk (1 in 10) of corneal damage which given my recent reaction (and because I seem to be falling apart and super reactive/allergic to everything) I am very very nervous of using them. I was hoping it would settle down on its own but it hasn’t happened. Despite buying my own weight in OTC eye drops.

Looking online I think the risk may be much higher with eye drops that ALSO contain a preservative, which Ketofall doesn’t. And maybe that’s why the risk is listed as being so high (ie it applies to eye drops in general with this ingredient but doesn’t actually apply to Ketofall as it doesn’t contain the preservative). But not sure if it works like that?

Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) of Ketofall?

No experience with the drops but they are an antihistamine, you could take antihistamine tablets as an alternative that avoids the local sideeffects of the drops.

My understanding with eye reactions like this is that you need something topical. Oral antihistamines also can cause/exacerbate dry eye.
