son had something viral but was given amoxicillin as they suspected it might be an infection (throat ) from last time that didn’t fully go away. He’s had some arm pain few days back that got better and today the first day his fever has broken since starting antibiotics yesterday but he seemed fine this morning and we dropped my other child with him in a pram but when I’ve taken him out he’s cried out in pain. He’s fine otherwise sat and playing but he is struggling to stand or walk . Anyone’s child been through this I don’t know if it’s related to what they suspected (tonsillitis)

he complained of his leg hurting when he was in the pram yesterday but was fine after so not sure what’s happening. Wondering to call doctors or get him seen at pharmacy?

I know that an inner ear infection can sometimes affect balance. Could it be that?

My son had this, he's four. Said his legs hurt and couldn't stand. It was after about four days of flu. He said it felt like cycling up a hill on his bike but worse, so my best guess was that it was muscle aches from flu. It lasted a day.

Get him checked over by a doctor, if you phone 111 they can direct you to the best place to get seen today. It could be irritable hip or limb pain caused by his recent viral infection, but as he is struggling to stand and walk get him checked.

Absolutely get this checked out but my first instinct is reactive arthritis.

Could be Benign Acute Childhood Myositis. My son had this once after being ill. Completely recovered after a few days.

Obviously get him checked out though

My son had this around the age of 2. He just suddenly started limping out of nowhere and it was very worrying, got all checked out and referred to hospital for scans - all was fine and in the end they said it's related to viral illness, apparently it only affects boys and happens a few days after being ill with a virus. I can't remember what it was called but it's harmless and he grew out of it by around that age of 6 x
