My daughter bit inside of cheek last night and now has bump under ear

My daughter bit her cheek most likely in her sleep yesterday night. She was complaining of a bit of pain but otherwise ok. I checked the bite mark and it doesn’t look infected. After school she’s been a bit low in energy than normal and when I was checking I noticed although no redness under the ear I can feel a lump under the ear which hurts her when I touch .

anyone’s child had this and know what it could be

Could be a swollen gland, does she have a sore throat or cold? Biting the inside of her cheek is unlikely to be at all related.

Is her cheek tender or swollen, it’s possible she has an infection in the bite.
is it a large bite?

There is like a small white patch inside her cheek and two red dots on the patchwhich are the bite marks. It doesn’t seem swollen inside the cheek but you can deffo feel the swelling under the ear which happens to be on the same side of the face as the bite mark . She doesn’t have a temperature but is just uncomfortable eating right now

No swollen throat her cheek on the outside is fine it’s just the bit under her ear which seems swollen

I quite often get a painful gland under my ear when I have a mouth ulcer, it's just my immune system doing its job!

does it go on its own. Just going to try her with a salt water rinse for the bite. Hoping it goes away soon with her having school tomorrow

Yes, @amy12464, it does go away on its own as the ulcer heals, sometimes it's more painful than the ulcer itself though! Salt water rinse sounds like a good idea, or some Bonjela?

I don’t have bonjela right now but I’m going to do a salt water rinse and maybe some iboprofen? She had Calpol when she came from school
