Radial scar breast

Has anyone been diagnosed with a radial scar in their breast? Can you tell me about any follow-up you had.
Ive been diagnosed with one (just over 1cm) following core biopsy and VAB and I’ve been told they are now leaving it there with no excision and no follow-up. Every medical website I’ve looked at says that I should as a minimum be offered follow-up mammograms to monitor it and generally if it’s over 1cm it should be excised completely. I don’t know if I'm being fobbed off or whether it’s normal on the NHS for them to do nothing after this diagnosis.

just saw your thread when searching radial scar. I’ve had a 4cm suspicious area picked up on mammogram, had core and vacuum
Biopsies which both came back benign but one of the things picked up from the vacuum biopsy was a 3mm radial scar which they said is fully excised. I’ve now had an excision biopsy to take out the whole area for testing, I’m not sure if that’s specifically related to the radial scar or the whole area but I’ve found our breast care centre to be very thorough

@Morph22010 Thanks for your reply.

I really wish they had taken my whole radial scar out, it’s playing on my mind all of the time. But they were so dismissive I feel like I can’t question it.
