Bit embarrassaing but has anyone ever had this feeling in your behind?

I have had this feeling a few times recently, not all the time, but usually when I need to go or after I’ve just been.
The only way I can describe it is maybe it’s a nerve or muscle spasm, almost like a contraction in your mum, which feels uncomfortable but not painful.
Does anyone know what I mean?

I used to get javelin arse when I was on my period, if that's what you mean maybe?

I used to, it felt like a muscle spasm inside. It stopped after I had a hysterectomy so maybe something was disrupted, like the nerve pathway or position of the bowel.

Yep I get it randomly from time to time and have done since I was young. It’s incredibly painful but thankfully only lasts for less than a minute usually

Thanks all so sounds quite normal. Yes it’s a horrible sort of discomfort, stops you in your tracks. I have, since having my second child, I’m only 36, felt something is not quite right downstairs for me. I seem to get extremely bad PMS symptoms these days, also I dunno if this is also normal but something when I put a tampon in it goes sideways, or actually flips 180! I wonder if I have some kind of pelvic floor problem.
however what I will say is sex has never felt better.

I get it with my period but not every time. It’s horrible isn’t it but I don’t believe anything sinister.

I find if you clench the muscles and then relax them a few times it tends to pass off. It is truly horrible.

It's officially called proctalgia fujax and it is so blooming painful! I don't get it all that often any more but I am occasionally woken up by it in the middle of the night. Hate it!

Yeah javelin arse. Can be excruciating. I was chatting to my beautician the other day about this whilst getting waxed - we had a right laugh as you can imagine. Apparently it’s caused by oestrogen fluctuation at time of month. I don’t get it anymore and I’m now on hrt so could well be this reason.

Men get it too - it’s rare but it can’t be caused by oestrogen.

Bit of a prolapse maybe? That can feel uncomfortable if it drops into the vagina a bit. If your tampon isn't behaving when you put it in.
