I've gad blocked ears and lack of hearing. My GP said my ears were blocked with cattarh. I saw an audiologist at my local hospital who said my ears are not blocked with cattarh. I have been told I need hearing aids I am still convinced it's cattarh. My doctor gave me some tablets to clear the cattarh but because of the side effects I never took them. I an supposed to get hearing aids in january. My hearing is slightly worse and I want to go back to the Gp who told me it was cattarh. The audiologist said my doctor was wrong and audiologist have better equipment to use to look in ears.

I am fed up with thus as of some people have soft voices I cannot hear what they say properly. I still want to believe my doctor that it's cattarh

If you are still convinced it’s catarrh then take the tablets.
If they work, it’s catarrh, if they don’t then get hearing aids.

I’d believe the specialist over the GP. But if I was convinced, I’d try the tablets

I will try the tablets. The reason I didn't try the tablets was one of the side effects is drowsiness and I dont want to have that. I will always go with my gut feeling because years ago I went to a new dentist who told me I needed 3 teeth out. I didn't believe her and never went back. I changed dentists and my current dentist who I saw at the time told me I did not need 3 teeth out abd she was wrong g. Luckily I didn't have them removed and I put in a complaint and that dental surgery refunded my money for that check up. I've never had such a rude dentist as her before. Because I have somefillings she tried to ask me if I drank alcohol in excess. She didn't ask if I eat too much sugar only wanted to kmow how much alcohol I drink and I complained about that as well. I told her I dont drink alcohol. I've been with my current dentist for 5 years and have never had any complaints abd whatever treatment ive had has been completely pain free
