Bleeding during bowel movement tonight

Hi

This is the second time this week when I've had a bowel movement I've had quite a bit of bright red blood.
Not sore like a fissure or anything.
Although it is just on the toilet paper.

I feel I need to go, almost like right before diarrhea.
Then I can't fully go, I wipe and it's covered in blood, like big splatters. Not streaks. Then I'm really bloated.

Or maybe this is what comes from a fissure? I'm not sure!

I actually have a GP appointment tomorrow do I mention this? I had a colonoscopy about 5 months ago that was all clear so maybe no need.

Thanks.

Maybe a hemmorroid?

I’ve had that before and been to the doctors. I had a tear due to a large stool. Nothing more worrying.

Definitely mention it. I've recently read an article about how any bleeding from bowel movements needs to be investigated ASAP. Sounds a bit grim but if it happens again before tomorrow perhaps take a photo of the blood to show the gp.

Good for you going to GP.
it could be anything, and not always the most frightening.
Haemorrhoids, polyps, fissures, inflammation, diverticula.
Hope it all goes well with GP.

You need a GP appointment asap. Why did you have a colonoscopy 5 months ago, did you have other symptoms? Take care of yourself OP and don’t delay.

Definitely mention to GP. My friend (early 40's) assumed it was her haemarroids (sp?) playing up but it turned out to be bowel cancer.

I know it sounds grim, but do take photos of what you see in the bowl and on the paper. It is invaluable to medics.

I had an episode two weeks ago where the stool was black, and I felt weak and dizzy. I took pics, headed off to A+E as I suspected internal gastric bleed from the appearance of the stool. The A+E doc was very happy to see for himself what I had experienced and fast tracked me for CT and endoscopy. Yes it was a gastric bleed from gastritis. They put a 3D patch on it during the endoscopy and home next day.

Yours sounds like piles or a fissure, but you are getting it checked, and of course you mention it, absolutely!
