Hi all!

I dont really know where the right place on mumsnet is to ask questions about health after birth so I'm trying here in the hope someone can answer me. Basically I gave birth nine months ago and since then have had thrush 7 times. I have been tested for diabetes but am clear. I have never had thrush before having a baby so was wondering if it is a hormonal thing? I have also still got bleeding gums nine months later! Has anyone had a similar experience? WOuld appreciate any replies!!

Childbirth is the normal place.

It's unusual but not unheard of for people to get recurrent thrush when they are run down. Also bleeding gums can affect you for a year post partum. But go see your dentist. For some people, they develop problems during pregnancy and then they only notice later on because they are so busy with babies etc.
