I'm really suffering, not as bad a yesterday/ last night... doctors told me don't need meds from prescription as temp came down with paracetamol.

Mainly feeling sorry for self as live alone going through break up and then this, feel lost and alone and ridiculously poorly!

Every joint aches.

I'm going to snuggle up with dog and finish broadchurch finally lol.

Sounds like me! I'm on day six, thankfully the cough is starting to decrease and I'm not getting the temperatures anymore but feel absolutely wiped. Am off work and need to pop to the supermarket as out of all basic supplies but the thought of having to even get dressed feels too much. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Off that long!? Poor thing, can you get a tesco whoosh delivery to get you through?

I just went through this, also live alone. Best thing is to succumb to it and go for total rest, keep wrapped up warm.

I switched straight to a soup and juice diet for a couple of days to get through the fever (couldn't keep solid food down anyway).

A friend also told me about Tesco Whoosh and it was an absolute god send. A trip to the supermarket would have taken all the energy I had for the whole day, if I'd even been able to muster it. With Tesco Whoosh I had a delivery in 40 mins to my door of loo roll, other essentials. Think I did 2 in the end while I was ill.

Also recommend stocking up on any of these : anaesthetic throat spray, honey, lozenges. I have a respiratory condition so there's been a lot of coughing - Broncho Stop 5 in 1 was quite helpful. The worst part was waking myself up coughing and not being able to sleep.

Drink lots of lukewarm water.

The headache was a killer, I ended up taking my migraine medication naproxen as its more effective than ibuprofen.

Now I'm just on paracetamol and dealing with a residual cough.

Be prepared for fatigue on a cellular level afterwards. I went back to work probably a day early than I should have.
