Nasal spot

I’ve had ongoing bloody spot in my nostril now since August/September. I’ve been prescribed a nasal spray. It occasionally bleeds, scabs over and then it starts up again.

I’ve not slept for second night in a row as the pain and pressure is causing me moderate discomfort. Pressure up to eyes, ear, teeth like a sinus infection. I’m dizzy with it.

I get a lot of sinusitis but it doesn’t feel like it. I’ve got a headache and and it’s painful. No fever.

I’ve got another appointment in 10 days time but I am not sure I can last till then.

The spray was helping but now not so much. Pharmacist said GP issue.

Do you think going back to GP (have to do online form) is worth it or ride it out. Anyone know?

I’d do an online form, you can’t be expected to not sleep for 10 days. Plus, if you need referring, we’re heading into Christmas and New Year, so it’ll be delayed.

Thank you
that’s what I’m thinking as it’s really beginning to bug me.

I think you need Naceptin. I used to get spots in my nose. It's like an antibacterial cream, GP gave it to me.

Also longer term, do a daily nasal rinse with something like sterimar or neilmed nasal rinse.

Another recommendation for Naseptin cream, ask your GP to prescribe it for you, works really quickly.

Thank you
I do NeilMed regularly but GP told me not to whilst using the spray. I’ve submitted the form so hopefully get a phone call at some point!

Did either of you get the pressure in ears and sinuses headaches etc I seem to be getting with it? Thanks

I used to get a lot of sinusitis and sinus headaches ranging from dull headaches to wanting to gauge my eye out.

I'm not really sure what was causing what.

There is flu going round so it may that you've picked something up and you are just getting under the weather.

For really bunged up sinus headaches, sudofed with Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride which is a decongestnat helped. Think you can get Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride on its own without caffeine. Paracetamol won't touch it.

No I didn't but was told the sores inside my nose were an infection.

Been given Naseptin and have sinusitis so hopefully will start feeling better in a few days. Doctor will refer me to ENT if still no better in 10 days . Thanks all

So update as still issues and ongoing sinus issues. Have had naseptin and mupirocin twice. Every time cream stops spot, crustiness and sinus issues flare. Have now been referred to ENT. Today is particularly bad.
