I've had lots of spotting outside of my period and finally went to the GP a few weeks ago. She recommended blood tests, kidney, pelvic, and transvaginal ultrasounds.

Bloodtests suggests slightly high bad cholesterol but nothing else. The results were sent by text message a few days after the tests.

Had the ultrasounds today. An hour after them, I got a text from my GP surgery asking me to book in an appt with the GP to discuss the results. My appt is next week.

Part of me is thinking that if the appt can be a week away to discuss the results then they can't be too bad and that my surgery and the hospital I went to are just super efficient. But another part of me thinks that if they messaged as quickly as an hour after the ultrasounds that something serious was possibly flagged.

Does anyone know if this quick a response is typical or should I gear myself up for difficult news next week?

And I can't log into my NHS app to see the results. I've tried to reset my password for it and it doesn't seem to be accepting it. I don't know whether they are connected somehow.

Hard to know for sure. Did the person doing the ultrasound not say anything afterwards?
It could be that the ultrasound is normal so they need to discuss what to do next about the bleeding.
Sounds like they are onto it, whatever it is.

Hope all goes well.

Thanks for responding, the person doing the ultrasound just told me to contact my GP surgery if I haven't heard from them in a week.

Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure the GP would have called if it was urgent and the were probably just addressing things as they came in

Just an update - I have a cyst and a polyp in the walls of my uterus and I was told that these are usually benign.

They're sending a referral to the gynecologist to discuss the next steps so let's see how long that takes for that to come through.
