Flu vaccine availability.

I'm just curious, is anyone else having difficulty getting a private flu vaccine this year? I've just had my fourth appointment cancelled, each at a different pharmacy, and I'm st

I'm not in any vulnerable group myself but I would usually get vaccinated because I work with the both children and the elderly and don't want to spread anything around. I'm not eligible for the NHS vaccine so it's private or nothing.

I tried to book an appointment at Boots, but nothing is available until next year!
When I went to my local pharmacy they had run out of flu jabs and I had to wait a few days before I could get one last week.

Have you tried Tesco or Morrisons? Some supermarkets offer flu vaccinations. You should check the smaller pharmacies.

Get it quickly if you can, because some places have increased their prices. Mine did.

Quite honestly, you've left it a bit late! Flu vaccine season started 1st Oct and by now most places will be on their last stocks. When I finished Friday I had 4 left in the fridge and there won't be any more coming. We've given more than 1000 though 💪🏻

Boots locally had a wait of several weeks, but Tesco pharmacy was bookable for 3 days later. Morrison’s also do them in their pharmacies if you have one near, and they are a lot cheaper with a More card.

Thanks all.

I booked it mid September for early October at my local pharmacy, when I arrived and was going through the questions I was asked for my exemption card, when I said I was private I was informed they were only doing NHS, apologised profusely but couldn't do anything.

Booked it again at another pharmacy in town two weeks later, turned up and was told they hadn't had their delivery of private vaccines and couldn't help. Got a bit miffed that they didn't bother to tell me so left.

Booked week later at another pharmacy, cancelled day before as they had no stock.

Booked again at Boots, had to wait two weeks, email today, cancelled with no reason given, can't re book until week of Christmas.

All other pharmacies even remotely in my area either aren't doing it or are booked until the new year.

It's no biggie really, just unusual for me to struggle like this. I use to be able to go into my local Asda and get one really easily.
