Unknown neck rash?!

Hey guys. I wonder if anyone can help! Any dermatologists about 🤣😭. Or anyone had something similar? I started developing this mildly/moderately itchy rash on my neck in July and it's progressively getting worse. I get little bumps and it burns with sunlight at times. Recently I now also have this dark patch with a red border. I haven't changed any skin care products. I have no medical history. I saw my GP and I've shown a couple pharmacists who all think it's dermatitis or eczema. My GP who has a special interest in dermatology was really unsure though. I've never had skin issues. I've tried hydrocortisone which calms it whilst using. As soon as I stop it's back. Please help!! Thanks

Could it be shingles, if your GP has a special interest in dermatology why didn't they prescribe anything or take a photo to send to the dermatology team.

No definitely not shingles. She thought it was contact dermatitis and I was advised hydrocortisone and epimax. I am seeing her again on Monday. If she still doesn't know I might just see a dermatologist privately. Who knows how long an nhs referral to dermatology will take. It'll just get worse!

Have you changed your hair products? Given the location just under your hair.

You could try SLS free shampoo as the SLS would set my eczema off. Am sure the GP has already advised using the Epimax as soap.
