Sensitive teeth

I have quite sensitive teeth. I also grind my teeth and I suspect my sensitive teeth are worn enamel from grinding. Years ago and dentist told me I grind and gave ne a mouth guard. I hated it and it made the grinding worse and the mouth guard split. I changed dentists, and have a good one but he has never mentioned grinding. I pointed out recently that I grind abd was given a mouth guard but had issues with it and asked if he thought I needed another one to rey again. He said no I didn't need one abd he said #st of his patients grind.

I dont get why he said I didn't need a guard when my old dentist said I did. Surely it's to protect my teeth. My current dentist doesn't ever discuss oral health. He just fills my teeth and that's that .

A friend goes to the same dentist and said he cleabs her teeth after every visit so when I queried it and asked if he could do the same for me he refused. I've always had a cleaning after visits from other dentists
