Can't sleep

Is anyone awake? I haven't slept yet (5.00 am) because of my restless legs. I have chronic kidney disease and restless legs is one of the symptoms. I am beyond exhausted every day as my legs won't let me sleep.
This is just a rant, I know there isn't a cure for this.

That sounds so hard. I’m up for a second feed with my 3.5 month old. X

Exciting! Best of luck.

@Nevertriedcaviar stress and pain are keeping me awake. (RA). My usual is to listen to a podcast but hasn’t worked. My car has broken down and is at my mums and I’m helping her move over the next few days. So I need to call AA soon. And I have 10 for dinner tonight but I’ve just told dh we will get a takeaway as I was going to pop to shops this morning but now got to sort out the car.

But rant away @Nevertriedcaviar I frequently do about my RA. Not sure if stress kicked off my pain or the pain has exacerbated the stress…

Restless legs are horrid.

I'm sorry your back ache is keeping you awake. Yes, I have medications for my restless legs but they don't always work. Wishing you the best and hope you can get some sleep during what"s left of the night.

Ahh thank you
but I doubt it! MNetting instead 😄

tbh I’m used to the pain, it’s the timing that’s a bit off!

I hope you get rest as well. X

Sorry about your restless legs op, I had it when I was at the very end of my pregnancy and I didn't cope well with it at all, it really affected my sleep too. I'm awake with 3.5 month old and 18mo. Having just finished work at 1am this morning, exhausted! I hope you get some sleep.

LaTable · 15/11/2025 07:34

@Nevertriedcaviarthat sounds like a headache too.
Bloody hate car troubles!

Thanks guys, night 2 of constant contractions and literally 0 sleep, we're looking like we're going for round 3 tonight still!

What podcasts usually help?
@cleo333how did you hurt your back? Or just general ache?

NewAgeNewMe · 15/11/2025 12:23

I really like the In Our Time podcasts. Melvyn Bragg has such a lovely soothing voice.

babasaclover · 15/11/2025 12:35

Read somewhere today that magnesium is good for restless legs. Look into it. Feel your pain though it’s literally torture lying there awake

ellierosexoxo · 14/01/2026 11:32
