Horrible panic attack

I had one last night in bed, and I knew what it was, but it was bloody awful and my whole body felt so tense.

It literally started by a feeling of my chest being really tight and restricted, as though I couldn't take a deep enough breath. I felt a kind of weird pain under my ribcage, and then a few seconds later, I started hyperventilating.

I was pretty panicked, pacing around my bedroom at 3am lol 😆 😅 I know the palpitations breathless feeling, terror etc are all part of it, but I hate how it seemed to come out of nowhere.

I have to try to forget about it as I know if I worry, I think it might trigger another one 😢

It’s great that you’re able to identify it was a panic attack and do things to help it pass.
Do you know what brings them on for you?

Thank you 😊 Yes, I have had a lot of health problems over the past few years, and anything minor, even if it's something like Athlete's foot or an ingrown toenail, makes me worried about the pain, treatment etc.

I had a head injury and post concussion syndrome before being injured by an off label antipsychotic that gave me a neurological involuntary movement disorder called tardive dyskinesia. This was a decade ago and ever since then, health worries have always made me anxious 😟
