No covid jab this year?

Me, dh and the dc have had the covid jab each winter since 2021. Me, DH and DS1 are in what was originally group 6 so we are considered vulnerable but not extremely vulnerable. Not sure about the other dc as i think children are categorised differently but they are vulnerable rather than extremely vulnerable too.

This year we got invited for our flu jabs as usual. No covid jab invites for any of us. I queried it and was told this year it's only over 75's who get it which makes no sense at all. I'm quite nervous now.

Honestly, they are no different. I think some may offer Moderna & some Pfizer but that's it. Google is your friend. For example (taking one at random):
What is a private Covid vaccine?
A private Covid vaccine is the same vaccine used in NHS programmes but is available through private healthcare providers. This option allows individuals to access the vaccine even if they are not currently eligible for the NHS vaccine or would like to receive it sooner through a private route. At Grahame Pharmacy, we offer the private Covid vaccine to ensure that everyone has access to protection, regardless of eligibility.

Over £1bn of covid vaccines were destroyed - procured, then restricted eligibility, then discarded rather than offer. The same with overly stringent access to antivirals - binned ££££s of those too. JCVI recommended having more than one vaccine type available (e.g. not just mRNA), but novovax isn’t available here either.
