Thyroid levels

Hello - I’m looking to see if anyone can help me to understand my thyroid levels while I wait for a GP review.
During fertility testing, it was found that I had a borderline underactive thyroid (5.6 mU/L). I was put on 50mcg levothyroxine and then fell pregnant so this dose was upped to 75mcg. When I was originally put onto medication, my hair loss, insomnia, exhaustion and low mood disappeared.
During pregnancy I was under an endocrinologist who told me I wouldn’t need medication after pregnancy. I expressed that I was concerned that postpartum + no medication would be a recipe for disaster. He told me to go back to 50mcg and then get bloods done at 12 weeks PP. I’ve done that and my results are 0.51 mU/L.
My question is do I actually have an underactive thyroid? Those levels are really low, much lower than they ever have been. Has anyone else with a diagnosed underactive thyroid ever had levels that low?
Thanks!

Your getting the numbers mixed up the lower numbers mean overactive so the pregnancy cause the hypothyroidism it resolved itself but because you are still medicated its sending you into hyperthyroidism. When you stop the meds it will resolve itself

That’s what I was wondering! I was borderline underactive before pregnancy but maybe being pregnant has put my thyroid back into full functioning mode 😂

Sounds like it

I would ask to be monitored; it may stabilise or may start to wobble again

0.5 is not particularly low. My levels have to be below 1 for me to feel well.
