Colonoscopy at 1.30 on Thursday...

So what would you eat tomorrow morning?

I have to stop eating 24 hours before the procedure so am having a normal meal this evening (might treat myself to tea and biscuits before bed!) and thought about scrambled eggs x 3 on white toast x 2 at 1pm tomorrow.

I've had colonoscopies before but years ago and I can't remember what I ate. I know I'm going to be ravenous...

It's a long time since I had one but I'm sure they gave me a list of foods. I remember having chicken and a bit of rice but I really didn't feel like eating much. Good luck

Eggs on toast sounds lovely and easy to eat. Have as many slices of white bread as you want! You won't starve for 24 hours although you might think you will! During the fasting period I drank full sugar Sprite and it kept me going no problem. Once I took the first prep I didn't think of food again until the job was well and truly done! I mixed lemon and lime cordial with the prep and chilled it before drinking.

TBH, the actual procedure is a walk in the park compared to the horrendous Clean Prep 🤢

I had scrambled eggs and toast, would definitely second lime cordial to drink with the prep, it seems very popular with many people taking the prep.

After mine I thought if I ever had to do it again I would starve myself to make the prep easier.

I went to bed early as I was so hungry but ok now. Just tired of running up to the loo every 5 minutes - not helped that we only have one bathroom abd both boys back from Uni for the week! 😬

oh !!! One toilet is not ideal!
I hope things are going well with your appointment today.
