Hi all I developed a red mark on my neck not painful or sore but very noticeable I’ve tried using Vaseline incase it was just a patch of dry skin but it’s not improved any , I would feel a bit silly going to my doctor if it was nothing

Strange red mark

I took have had a strange mark appear on my neck 2 weeks ago! I also had a bad cold (possibly COVID) so wondering if you've had similar? Mine is still there, not itchy or anything. I went to pharmacy and he suggested it maybe fungal and gave me a cream that's made absolutely no difference which is why I'm thinking it maybe viral and related to me being unwell.

Is that your neck? It looks like your back and it also looks like ringworm

Skyejay · 01/11/2025 13:47

It's her neck, she's leaning back. Ringworm usually has a halo, so I don't think it's that. Is it itchy or painful @Skyejay?

Mine that looks similar is not at all itchy and the fungal cream the pharmacist gave me 2 weeks ago has not done anything , I'm convinced it's viral related

Pretty sure that's ringworm. You need anti fungal cream if it is .

Looks like eczema or Pityriasis rosea
