Please help, dreadful tonsillitis (maybe strep?)

Hi everyone
Please help me, I’m on day 2 of pen v for tonsillitis; it’s the worst tonsillitis I’ve ever had. My throat is covered in white and yellow. I’ve started with little red dots on the roof of my mouth. Google says that is strep throat.
if it IS strep; will pen v work for this?
im really worrying because I’ve never in my life felt so utterly dreadful

Yes it will work. It's the first line antibiotic for it. Get well soon.

My daughter had horrendous strep throat (was hospitalised) and was given penicillin.

It might be pharyngitis.

Ive had this twice and had to go to hospital once for it. I needed a ton of antibiotics each time.

As well as the pain I was very feverish with infection

Yea you're on the right antibiotic. Strep usually requires a 10 day dose rather than 7.
