Lurbofec inhaler

Is anyone on this? Just wondering as i have been on it for a while now, started on fostair in 2020 and then the gp swapped it to lurbofec. A family member has just been put on it and she said the GP told her it's only for people who are seriously struggling with their asthma. I'm not seriously struggling, but that might be be because i am on a decent inhaler! Mind you she also told me that the GP told her not to diet (she needs to lose at least 6 stone, not judging, I am struggling to lose weight too but it's very slowly coming off but i wanted to make it clear she is not being told not to diet because she is really thin) so i think there might be some wires crossed somewhere.

If you are OK on Luforbec I wouldn’t worry. If you Google, the switch it is usually a financial decision.
It was prescribed instead of Fostair for me and it was just like I’d inhaled a trigger. Couldn’t tolerate it all.
Rang the GP and they said I wasn’t the first and a new prescription was available the same day.
The label on my Fostair from the pharmacy says DO NOT replace with Luforbec. My friend had the same problem and switched back.

Thank you. I assumed when i was changed from fostair to lurbofec that it was either new or cheaper. I was more curious that I'd been prescribed some kind of super inhaler and that it meant my asthma was a lot worse than i thought it was. My asthma has improved massively since there are less people smoking in public places. It always used to be awful when i was a teenager and it was harder to avoid people smoking. Now it only gets bad when i have a cold and on the rare occasion when i walk past someone smoking.
