My baby is a month old but hasn't being right since he came home from hospital. He started on Aptamill for the first two weeks but was badly constipated and has days where he spews a good bit. Some days its nearly impossible to wind him.

The district nurse recommended switching to Aptamil comfort. That has somewhat helped over the past week and a half but he seems to be suffering with cramps on and off while still suffering with constipation but that has improved but doesn't go the toilet for a couple of days and suffers woth cramps then..

Winding seems to be as bad as ever and spewing alot has got worse. I have a feeling he could be suffering with acid reflux. Another nurse has recommended switching to SMA..So we seem to be getting different opinions some say switch some say don't.. I have no idea where to go from here because I don't want to keep switching but I don't want to not switch if its upsetting him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, it is so tough in the first few months with feeding. I bottle fed my three and also dealt with an array of issues; colic, reflux, constipation etc!

Used Aptamil with all of mine however with my last, I switched to Kendamil and noticed a significant difference. Went from constipated poops to explosions (this is apparently common with Kendamil). It really is trial and error with babies. Hope you get sorted ❣️

There's no harm in trying a different brand, nutritionally they're all the same.
